Whyzzer Guidelines

  • Do not spam or go heavily off-topic. Our conversations are for the entire community and enable all of us to learn and grow, together.

  • No trolling, hate speech or bullying.

  • You are welcome to challenge ideas, but not people. Any direct attacks against any person will not be tolerated; we ask everyone to be respectful and maintain a healthy and safe space for disagreement. Also, any racist, sexist, classist, ableism, ageism, etc. comments will not be tolerated.

  • Purposeful and meaningful discussions.

  • Treat others online as you would treat them in real life. When you make a comment, consider whether you would be comfortable saying it to the other person's face.

  • Rate people's responses. We aim for high quality content with purpose. Rate, participate, and help to create a more valuable experience for your fellow community members.

Code of Conduct

We created this code of conduct to ensure that we treat each other with the respect we expect as a community on Whyzzer. In addition, a clear code allows us to make changes to our culture if it deviates from course.

  • If you are here to ask questions, to be inspired and expand your knowledge, make it as easy as possible for others to answer you. Keep your questions short and to the point. Be respectful of the time others take to answer your questions.

  • If you are here to help others and share your knowledge, be patient and welcoming. Offer your support to others when you see someone struggling. Try to answer and explain in a simple, structured and concise way.

  • Be respectful and constructive when giving feedback, and be open when receiving your own.

  • Comments, questions and answers to posts are an enriching part of knowledge sharing; please accept feedback and feel free to give feedback. Constructive criticism makes us think and helps us grow further. Comments, questions and answers are also a great way to look at topics from different angles and collectively become wiser. Use comments on Whyzzer to share knowledge, emoji and similar fits very well on other social media, but on Whyzzer we expect more substantial, authentic and noteworthy contributions in a comment.

  • When rating comments, posts, questions and answers, be sure to give an appropriate rating within the scale of 0-10. 0 in this case means I don't like it at all, it's not educational, not truthful or incomplete. 10 means it's the best I've ever consumed, excellently explained, precisely worded and needs no improvement. Be fair in your rating, if you give a bad rating, give constructive feedback.

  • Be inclusive and respectful. Be careful with jokes, avoid sarcasm, tone is hard to decipher online. It's best to write in gender-neutral language if you're not sure. Within a situation where it is hard to stay friendly, let them be and move on. The wiser yields.

  • Refrain from subtle offenses, unkind language, name-calling, or personal attacks. Even if you don't mean to, this can have a negative impact on others and the spirit of the community.

  • Focus on the content, not the person. This includes terms that feel personal, even if they relate to the content (e.g. "lazy", "stupid"...).

  • Whyzzer does not tolerate expressions, word choices, or terms that insult, intimidate, threaten, or belittle people based on their ethnicity, origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or level of knowledge. Use the pronouns provided when known and be careful that your choice of words is not alienating or offensive. Apologize if your comment, question or answer offends someone, learn from it and do better next time.

  • Whyzzer does not tolerate harassment, which includes sexual innuendo, repeated contact or stalking, vulgar language, intimidation, bullying, direct or indirect threats, inappropriate social contact, and persistent disruption of discussions.

Enforcement

By using Whyzzer you agree to these guidelines and our Terms of Use, in fact as part of this community we expect you to ensure that other users on Whyzzer adhere to our Code of Conduct. If you have any additions to our Code of Conduct please let us know via email. If users violate the Code of Conduct, we ask you to report this behavior to us.

We take your reports very seriously. Those who do not follow the Code of Conduct in good faith will face consequences as deemed appropriate by our moderation team. Our moderators follow the following three steps:

1. Warning.

For most first-time transgressions, moderators will remove the offending content and issue a warning. This warning allows the user to adjust their behavior. A warning is a one-time action and will result in account suspension or account deletion if the user fails to comply.

2. Account blocking.

In case of repeated misconduct or behavior that includes harassment of any kind, bigotry, sexism, fascism, bullying, body-shaming, homophobia, hatred, false defamation, spreading fakenews or abuse, the moderators will impose a temporary, short or long-term account suspension.

3. Exclusion from account.
In case of repeated disregard of a warning or repeated misconduct, the moderators will delete the user account, as well as block any new registrations of this user.

We look forward to a good educational, inspiring exchange of knowledge and experience on Whyzzer. Let get wiser together!
